Landlord Training Wales is the most convenient and painless way to complete your Rent Smart Wales training. We want to make sure that your experience is as smooth as possible, so please read the following important guide carefully:

  1. Ordering

To access the Learning Portal and complete your Rent Smart Wales training, you’ll need an access code. This is a unique code which will allow one user access to the training for one year and one successful pass certificate.

The access code is unique to each purchase, you can purchase codes here if you’re a landlord and here if you’re a letting agent. Landlord Training Wales offers the best value training option at £29+VAT for Landlords and £49+VAT for Letting Agents

Once you’ve selected the number of access codes you need, you’ll be directed to our order page. We take you’re online security very seriously and so use PayPal, one of the best known and most secure payment processors. You don’t need a PayPal account to complete your purchase, just your debit or credit card.

When you’ve successfully entered payment details, you’ll receive an email to the address you provided. It’s really important you have access to this email as it contains your access code(s) and the link to access the learning portal and sign up for the first time.

We always recommended that both landlords and agents complete the Letting Agents online course. This is because you can obtain a letting agent licence as in individual for exactly the same Rent Smart Wales licence fee, and in exactly the same way, as the Landlord licence. The agent licence, however, will always allow you to manage property on behalf of others (family or relatives, friends, commercially etc). Effectively it’s a two-for-one licence, giving you now or in future, the option to manage property not directly registered In your name at no extra cost.

The first time you sign up, you’ll need to visit www.myworksearch.co.uk/signup This is our online learning portal, hosted by our partners at MWS technology.

Activating and signing in to the online learning platform for the first time should take under 2 minutes. You just need your access code from the confirmation email sent immediately after purchase.

 

  1. Completing Your Learning

You have access to the online learning platform for 12 months after signup. So, you can complete the learning completely at your own pace. Most people are able to complete over a few hours, on their tablet or mobile device, at the place and time most convenient for them.

To re-enter the learning portal just follow the ‘sign in’ link at the top of the Landlord Training Wales homepage. You’ll be able to pick up exactly where you left off.

  1. Assessment

To complete your Rent Smart Wales Training, you need to complete a short multiple choice test. Many people contact us with concerns about taking a test. There is no need to be worried about this simple assessment, some people would call it a quiz.

In the unlikely event that you take the assessment and don’t get 70% of the questions correct at the first attempt, don’t worry! You just need to revisit the relevant learning and can complete another assessment, at no additional cost. We are the only provider to offer this, but we’re confident in our online training product and believe strongly we shouldn’t be charging if you need to re take the test! Theres no minimum time to wait either, you can take the test again as soon as your confident to do so.

Once you take the test, it will get sent to our marker. If successful, you’ll receive a PDF Certificate within 72 hours to show you’ve successfully completed your Rent Smart Wales Training. This will be sent to the email address provided when you sign up, so again its really important this email is correct.
